The Championship course at Royal Dornoch is rated among the world's top ten. Dornoch is also the birthplace of legendary US course designer Donald Ross.

There is a popular mixed links/park golf course at Golspie and other local courses at Brora, Tain, Bonar Bridge and all around the Moray Firth.
